Step Up for Blood Cancer UK and BIA

In 2025, Blood Cancer UK are the official charity partner of the UK BioIndustry Association (BIA). Take part in the BIA and Blood Cancer UK’s Step Up challenge throughout May. Walk 280,000 steps for the 280,000 people living with blood cancer in the UK.

Create a team from your company or sign up individually – every step will fund the Blood Cancer UK clinical trials support service, a nurse-led service that supports people affected by blood cancer, before, during and after enrolment on a trial.

Whether you’re aiming to achieve a personal fitness or fundraising goal, improve team building or enjoy some friendly rivalry with fellow biotech companies, we encourage you to join the challenge. This is an opportunity to have fun, mingle with the BIA community, form new connections, potentially win great prizes, and most importantly raise vital funds for our amazing charity of the year!

Open to BIA member companies only; teams will consist of a maximum of 10 people; companies can enter multiple teams. If you have any questions or for more information, get in touch with marketing@bioindustry.org

Why it’s so important to get involved!

Every step counts because they help fund Blood Cancer UK, a charity that supports the 280,000 people living with blood cancer in the UK. Blood cancers include leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma and your steps will help fund the clinical trials support service which supports people affected by all types of blood cancer.

Blood Cancer UK’s clinical trials support service addresses the barriers to accessing clinical trials and helps more people with blood cancer participate, providing critical support to patients. Join the national network of the BIA and its members in stepping 280,000 steps in May to help fund this service.
